Why “weird”? I don’t believe in “normal.” It’s completely relative to the speaker. What’s normal for you is different from the next person. And the next person… and the next… so I say embrace your weird. It’s what makes you you! And you are awesome. Wild & Wonderful? Self explanatory- wild is fun and wonderful is a great adjective that fits the “W” scheme.
My name is Sadie. I’m an Alaskan transplant rooted in the Arizona heat. Together with my amazing family, we navigate life’s adventures one day at a time.
We’re tucked away- in the middle of the city- on a sweet little urban homestead gem. We spend free time tending the animals, the fruit trees and the garden.
My professional life looks like two decades in the graphic design arena. That has honed my eye for detail and a deep appreciation for aesthetics. But it’s the jewelry, the torches, the saws and hammers, the working with my hands that really sets my soul on fire and makes my heart sing. There’s nothing like taking raw materials, precious metals, gemstones, all the pretty things, and forging them into pieces of art. Art that’s meant to stand the test of time and bring generations of joy to its beholders.
Inspiration for my creations comes from a myriad of sources – from the starlit Alaskan nights of my childhood to the simple joys found in my family’s smiles. The heady scent of blossoming apple and citrus trees. My beautifully lit (thank you husband) crystal collection. All things ancient, worn and full of history.
My love for all things old-world stems from cherished childhood experiences of treasure-hunting with my mother. Scouring antique stores and yard sales for hidden gems and then imaging the stories behind the treasures we found.
Though my creations are new, they carry with them the weight of tales untold. Each piece is a vessel for narratives both imagined and real – a relic of the past waiting to be woven into the fabric of your own story. Whether adorning the neck of a warrior, gracing the hair of a maiden fair, or embellishing the finger of a sorcerer, may they evoke a sense of wonder and intrigue for generations to come.
